Dreams teach us…
Good morning,
I awoke today heavy hearted from a dream I had last night. The details are not important, but the learning is. You see, I firmly believe that our sub-conscious or what I believe – “Spirit” – gently shows us the areas that we need to look at in our “awake” moments, in our dreams.
The long and short of it was this- in my dream, I was doing my best to educate people on a certain topic that they did not want to be educated on. Because of this I got upset, moved into “defense mode” and started to raise my voice; naturally everything went downhill as people felt my energy and then as a result, they then moved into “defense mode.” It became out of control.
As I reviewed my dream this morning I was reminded that I need never defend my position, also known as my beliefs -because the minute I do, I move into a space of needing to prove something and I, along with other people shut down a part of our willingness to listen.
We must remember, our position and our beliefs are just that, OUR own point of view- we must believe enough about them so that we never need to defend against them. Perhaps if we need to defend them, then they need to be reviewed! Remember, whenever our peace is internally disturbed, WE are the ones that need to look at something within our consciousness that isn’t working.
